How To Evict A Tenant – The Course

The key to successful landlording is in tenant selection. Nevertheless, sooner or later, all landlords will have to deal with a problem tenant. In many cases, this will require that the tenant be evicted. This short course will help you decide whether to evict the tenant and if so, how to go about it. Ontario legislation gives tenants strong rights and makes it difficult to evict tenants.

Sucessfully evicting a tenant requires a combination of knowing the law, patience and understanding the practicalities of a system that provides tenants with more rights than landords. If you select your tenants carefully you will have few problem tenants. That said, it is important that you deal with problem tenants quickly and effectively. Kowing the law is just the first step.
